I Whio that I could live here is a weaving of mātauranga (knowledge, wisdom, understanding, skill) and Western science and is focused on the hauora (health, vigour) and wairua (spirit, soul) of the Kaupokonui River. This community's investigation will explore, measure and understand the health of the Kaupokonui River along the upper, middle and lower reaches, spanning both the river’s cultural and ecological significance, and explore ways to restore the river to a standard that is fit for our native taonga, the Whio.
