After a death in their community, students suggested creating a garden in the school where they could have a quiet reflective area. The project leaders took the opportunity to pair this objective with a high-tech solution to keep the gardens thriving over the holiday breaks.
The team designed a garden that could provide both kai and calm, as well as an automated watering system that can sense soil moisture and draw from a water tank that collects rainwater from the school roof.
